On behalf of “Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church” I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful happy New Year.

I would like to thank those of you who attended our first ever Christmas Eve Holy Mass on Dec. 24, 2011 and the Christmas party afterwards. I also want to thank those of you who attended our first ever New Year’s Eve party at the church reception hall. I hope that all of you who attended either one or both parties had a great and memorable time with your family and loved ones. If you weren’t able to make it, I trust and hope that you had a blessed time with your loved ones.

In our first Holy Mass on Jan. 01-2012, Father Michael said, if we lived to be 56 years old, we would spend five years in our car driving, twelve years working, etc…but if we come to church only one hour a week we would only spend 11 months of those 56 years going to church. So as you can see that is not too much time to spend to be in God’s house.

He also said, the birth of Jesus Christ is a sign of a new beginning for us every year and at the beginning of each year, we should try to start fresh and let what happened in the previous year remain there and do not dwell on it. This doesn’t mean you should forget about it; just don’t let it affect your life. This way you can start fresh with a clear conscious and mind.

Remember to seek the kingdom of God first. That means let everything you do, say, think and feel…please, praise and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Please continue to support your church by coming to every Sunday’s Holy Mass if at all possible and don’t forget that the door to our Lord house is always open to all of you.
